Ground Operations Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Ground Operations Supervisor to lead our ramp and turnaround operation at Jeddah Airport. You will supervise ground-handling teams, monitor aircraft arrival and departure processes, and ensure every turn is safe, on-time and cost-effective. This role combines leadership with operational discipline: you will coach staff, enforce safety standards, manage equipment and liaise with flight crews, catering, fueling, cleaning and authorities to protect the schedule and passenger experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise ramp agents, baggage handlers, pushback and loading teams on every shift.
• Plan and monitor aircraft turnaround activities including parking, loading, unloading, catering and cleaning.
• Enforce safety, security and compliance standards across the ramp and airside areas.
• Investigate delays, incidents and damage reports and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with flight operations, dispatch, maintenance and airport authorities in real time.
• Manage staff rostering, attendance, training and performance feedback for the ground team.
• Prepare shift reports, KPIs and safety documentation for management review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in aviation, logistics, business or a related field.
• 3-5 years of airport ground operations experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IATA, GACA and airline ground-handling procedures.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making and crisis-management skills under pressure.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is highly preferred.
• Valid airside driving permit and ability to work in outdoor conditions across all weather.
